It is not the sea. It is not the land. It is what happens when they meet.
The sea does not create. It transforms.
The earth becomes stoneware and terracotta. Sand becomes glass. The Lokta plant grows from the earth to become paper. Each material holds the memory of its origin. Water passes through it, smooths it, moves it and leaves traces. The hand receives those traces and translates them into new gestures.
Visible brushstrokes, slight variations and natural imperfections are intentional and celebrate the handmade process.
